The GFLI database have been officially launched on November 12th 2020, starting a new phase for the Institute to maintain and expand a qualitative database adhering to international LCA principles.

This phase welcomes corporations, associations and other entities with an interest in environmental footprints to join as a member or participate for data-out projects. For the coming years GFLI wishes to increase its database for global coverage, truly becoming the global standard as it has envisioned.

The main activities include outreach to new members, collaborate for new data-in projects and pursuing new forms like branded data, strengthening the database with safeguards and continuous improvement from the TMC. This will be documented in the GFLI workplan 2021-2023 currently in development.
