The Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) announces a new member: Innovafeed, a global biotechnology company and a leader in insect production (Hermetia illucens – Black Soldier Fly) offering sustainable ingredients for animal and plant nutrition.
Created in 2016, Innovafeed‘s mission is to find innovative and disruptive solutions to the challenges faced by the global food system. The company develops disruptive technologies that replicate the natural role of insects at an industrial scale. Through the commercialisation of its Hilucia™ insect-derived range of ingredients, Innovafeed addresses the growing demand for quality nutrients to support the decarbonization of animal feed and petfood production. Headquartered in Paris, France, Innovafeed operates two industrial plants in northern France and is currently expanding its footprint to North America. Innovafeed has over 350 employees for whom performance and positive impact must go hand in hand to shape the world we will leave to future generations.
