New member! Adisseo has joined the GFLI

The Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) announces a new member: Adisseo, one of the worldwide leading experts in animal nutrition, fully committed to sustainable growth based on developing its core expertise.

Adisseo is a reference partner in animal nutrition for feed manufacturers, premixers, and integrators. The group relies on its 8 research centers and its production sites based in Europe, the USA, Thailand and China to design, produce and market nutritional solutions for sustainable animal feed.

With more than 2,520 employees, the company serves around 3,900 customers in over 110 different countries through its global distribution network. In 2021, Adisseo achieved a turnover of over 1.69 billion Euros. One of the main subsidiaries of China National Bluestar, the company is listed at the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Sustainable development is at the heart of Adisseo’s business. Its primary mission is to help feed the world’s population with healthy, safe, affordable food that has been produced in a sustainable manner by providing innovative products and services to the feed and food industry.

For several years, Adisseo has adopted ambitious objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions linked to its activities in terms of intensity (-20% between 2015 and 2025) and in absolute terms (-2.5% per year). At the beginning of 2021, Adisseo committed in the preservation of natural resources and the achievement of carbon neutrality in 2050 at the latest through the identification, reduction, and compensation of environmental impacts.

Since May 2, 2022, Frank Chmitelin has been nominated as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Sustainable Development and Safety and is also a member of the Adisseo Executive Committee. Thanks to his deep knowledge of the animal nutrition market and its customers, Frank Chmitelin is responsible for developing a strategy in accordance with the ambition of sustainable development for the Group.

Adisseo have completed several LCA studies using its nutritional solutions for different species and always in accordance with GFLI guidelines. It will continue to promote the LCA Framework and usage of the best standards engaging its partners to achieve the value chain goals in term of sustainability. Within the GFLI, Amel Hocini will represent Adisseo. GFLI welcomes Adisseo as a member and wishes for a fruitful partnership.
