Available now: LCIA datasets for Denmark

SEGES Innovation shares 7 new datasets representative for Danish crops, including silage ingredients, fava beans, and two types of organic ingredients. This marks an exciting start for the integration of the first silage and organic ingredients.

SEGES Innovation & DAKOFO identified the need of these ingredients for the Danish market within a research project that was concluded end of 2024. With these new datasets, it allows Danish producers and feed companies to create a more complete scope for (compound) feed.

The datasets have been internally reviewed by GFLI and externally reviewed by a shortlisted external reviewer (url), aligning with the GFLI methodology and thus are ready for integration into the GFLI database. See the overview of the exact datasets in the table below;

Barley grain organic, dried, at storage SEGES {DK}
Broad beans, dried, at storage SEGES {DK}
Broad beans organic, dried, at storage SEGES {DK}
Maize silage w.10% of the area preceded by Nfix crops, at farm SEGES {DK}
Barley silage, at farm SEGES {DK}
Grass silage, at farm SEGES {DK}
Fodder beet, at farm SEGES {DK}

The datasets are available now for GFLI database users: LCIA format, behind the download portal of the database (click here). For those who licensed the system processes or unit process level data, the datasets will become available on system processes level this fall after the major database update. *Please note that the impacts and names may change slightly with the integration of the GFLI database to uniformize the naming system with GFLI.

Curious about the datasets and do not have a license to the GFLI database yet? Reach out to info@globalfeedlca.org to request a license (4,375€ for non-members on LCIA format), or consider becoming a member and receive access to the latest LCIA database within the member price!
