On September 23, 2025, over 40 participants gathered in Paris and more than 160 joined online for the first joint seminar organized by the Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) and the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development). The event explored a central question: how can we reliably and consistently measure and communicate the environmental footprint of animal feed across global agri-food supply chains?
Policy makers, researchers, and industry representatives exchanged insights on transparency, collaboration, and innovation in environmental footprinting and reporting. The seminar built on the OECD’s eight building blocks for reliable and widespread product carbon footprint information, showcasing GFLI’s role in driving alignment and data consistency across the feed sector.
