GFLI Connect X Koen Deconinck
We’re proud to feature the OECD as a key voice in driving global alignment on sustainability reporting.
In this interview, Koen Deconinck, Economist at the OECD, reflects on the importance of harmonized methodologies for environmental impact assessment. With 38 member countries, the OECD plays a central role in coordinating workable solutions, and collaboration with sector initiatives like GFLI is essential.
“Animal feed is a really important element if you want to measure environmental footprints along the agri food supply chain, because it’s an important input. But at the same time, it is itself often a product of the agricultural sector. So, because it plays such a central role if you get that element wrong, then you will get many other elements wrong as well”
