Watch back: Webinar Orbae in GFLI 4.0 – a new approach

Land use change is often the single biggest driver of emissions in agricultural supply chains — including for feed ingredients. The SBTi FLAG Guidance, EU Deforestation Regulation, and GHG Protocol’s Land Sector and Removals Standard are all raising the bar for how companies quantify and report these emissions.

That’s why GFLI partnered with AdAstra Sustainability to bring jurisdictional direct land use change (jdLUC) data into the GFLI database. Powered by AdAstra’s Orbae technology, the jdLUC data uses satellite-based maps to directly link crop production to ecosystem conversion, offering a more accurate, spatially explicit picture of where and how land use change and emissions from peatlands happen across key feed commodities.
